Jackie Hill was simply the top setter in Clarion’s outstanding volleyball history. Playing from 2000-2003, Hill set the school record for career assists with 5,846, was second in digs with 1,460, fourth in assisted blocks with 264, sixth in total blocks with 319 and seventh in service aces with 159. She set the single-season record for assists in 2001 with 1,552 plus posted the second highest total of assists (1,461) in 2002 and third best (1,425) in 2003.
A team captain for three seasons (2001-03), Jackie helped lead the Golden Eagles to a school-record 31-5 mark in 2002 and the team’s first NCAA post-season invitation. In 2003 Clarion was 26-10 overall and again qualified for NCAA post-season play.
Hill was a 2002 and 2003 PSAC West first-team selection while also earning Daktronics and AVCA first-team All-Region honors during her career. She was a 2003 AVCA Honorable Mention All-American and a four-year Clarion and PSAC Scholar-Athlete.
She played all four years under head coach Tracey Fluharty and was recruited to Clarion by former coach Scott Pennewill.
A 2000 graduate of Susquehannock High School (1999 PIAA Champions), Jackie and husband Shaun live in Glen Rock, Pa. Shaun was a former linebacker on the Clarion football team.
