Joyce was a 16-time career All-American including winning an individual NCAA title in 1984 in the 200 Individual Medley and set an NCAA record. A 5-time NCAA champion (4 relays), she was a captain of the 1984 squad and won 6 of 6 events at the PSAC championships setting 4 PSAC records in the process. At her graduation she held Clarion team records in the 100 and 200 breaststroke, 200 and 400 I.M. and the 200 and 400 medley relays.
