Kayla (Kelosky) Renninger is the second most successful diver in NCAA Division II history, that's the kind of career she had at Clarion University from 2008 – 2011. A native of Ellwood City, Pa. and a 2007 graduate of Riverside High School, Kelosky had a tremendous diving career under the guidance of coach Dave Hrovat. As a freshman in 2008, Kelosky simply went to the NCAA D-II Nationals and became a two-time All-American placing third on 3 meter and 10th on 1 meter. As a sophomore in 2009 she was named the NCAA D-II Female Diver of the Year after winning the 1 meter (440.64 points) and 3 meter (456.70) national championships. In 2010, her junior year, Kayla repeated her 1 meter NCAA title and was second in the 3 meter competition. She once again was named the NCAA D-II Female Diver of the Year and was named the Clarion University Female Athlete of the Year for the second straight year. As a senior in 2011 Kelosky won both NCAA titles again, setting an NCAA record with a point total of 511.15 on 1 meter, while winning 3 meter with 481.70 points. She was named the NCAA D-II Female Diver of the Year for the third straight year. Kelosky also helped the Golden Eagles with high team finishes at the NCAA's. Clarion was 4th at nationals in 2011, 6th in 2010, 7th in 2009 and 8th in 2008. A PSAC and Clarion Scholar Athlete, Kayla graduated Cum Laude from Clarion in 2011. The former 2007 PIAA diving champion at Riverside High, currently works at Paul Davis Restoration of Western Pa. and resides in Ellwood City with husband Ed Renninger and daughter Ava.
