Kellie Bartman was a dominating and intimidating force from 2008 – 2011 at outside hitter for the Golden Eagle volleyball team earning All-Region and All-America honors under head coach Jennifer Herron. Her top season easily was the magical 2010 campaign when the Golden Eagles were a school record 32-5 overall, 1st in the PSAC-West at 17-2, won the PSAC title (first since 1988) and the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional, placing Clarion in the “Elite 8” of the NCAA Tournament. Bartman led the team with 455 kills, 288 digs, 70 blocks, 42 aces and 17 assists. She was named AVCA HM All-American, PSAC and Daktronics Atlantic Region “Player of the Year”, 1st team All-Region and PSAC-West. In the PSAC title win over Edinboro (3-1), she led the way with 22 kills, 11 digs, 4 blocks, 2 assists and 1 ace. In the Atlantic Region title win over Cal (3-0), she collected 12 kills and 10 digs – locking her in as a big game performer. As a senior in 2011 she led Clarion to a 19-13 mark, 14-5 in the PSAC-West and an NCAA Regional Qualifier. Bartman was a 1st team PSAC-West and Daktronics All-Region selection with 379 kills, 240 digs, 54 blocks, 18 assists and 8 aces. Her sophomore year saw Clarion post a 26-10 mark, 15-4 in the PSAC-West and an NCAA Atlantic Region Qualifier. Bartman led the team with 422 kills, 270 digs, 73 blocks, 41 aces and 5 assists. She was voted 1st team PSAC-West and Daktronics and AVCA All-Region. As a freshman in 2008 she collected 241 kills, 48 blocks, 108 digs, 10 aces and 10 assists for a Golden Eagle team that finished 16-15 overall. When she graduated she ranked 2nd in Clarion history with 1,497 career kills, 2nd in attempts with 4,386 and third in points with 1,737.5. She also contributed 906 digs, 245 blocks, 101 aces and 50 assists. In her career the Eagles amassed a record of 93-43, a PSAC-West mark of 51-18, won a PSAC and Atlantic Region title, an NCAA “Elite 8” finish, 3 visits to the NCAA Regionals and PSAC Tournament. A 2012 Clarion grad in Environmental Biology, she is currently a Nurse Practitioner at Cecil Family Medicine, part of the UPMC Health System. A 2008 graduate of Ringgold High, Kellie currently resides in Monongahela, Pa. with her husband Christopher.
