(Greensburg, Pa.): Clarion's Alyssa Gerhart (So. Meadville) finished 12th and Samantha Veights (Jr. Pgh – Mt. Lebanon) was 16th over the weekend to help the Golden Eagles to a 5th place finish at the Seton Hill Invitational Tournament.
Held at the Hannastown Golf Club. West Liberty won the team event with a score of 662, while Seton Hill was second with a 697. Clarion was fifth with a score of 750. Six teams participated.
Gerhart continues to be Clarion's top golfer after posting scores of 90, 88 – 178. Veights meanwhile shot a 92, 89 – 181 and was tied for 16th in medal play. West Liberty's Haygen Mowder was the medalist with an 81, 79 – 160.
Lavery shot a 95, 96 – 191; Suffern 97, 103 – 200; and Heckman 118, 103 – 221.
Clarion will next participate Saturday and Sunday at the PSAC Championships at Hershey Links Golf Club.
