(Canonsburg, Pa.): Clarion's Alyssa Gerhart (So. Meadville) finished second with an 88 and the Golden Eagle Women's Golf team also finished second at the W&J Invitational Golf Tournament on Monday at Southpointe Country Club.
West Virginia Wesleyan's Kathryn Alvaro took medal honors with an 86, while Gerhart was second with an 88. Clarion's
Samantha Veights (Jr. Mt. Lebanon) finished fourth in medal play with a 92, while
Jennifer Suffern (Jr. Carnegie/Chartiers Valley) was 14
th with a 104,
Kayla Lavery (Fr. Waterford/Ft. LeBoeuf) was 18
th with a 108 and
Sara Heckman (So. Monaca/Center) was 21
st with a 111.
West Virginia Wesleyan won the team competition with a 373, while Clarion was second with a 392, Grove City third with a 398, Washington & Jefferson fourth with a 415 and Westminster fifth with a 430.
Clarion will play at the Mercyhurst Invitational on Saturday and the Gannon Invite on Sunday and Monday.
