CLARION - The Golden Eagles women's volleyball team christened the Jennifer Harrison-era with a 3-0 (30-15, 30-19, 30-21) win over Gannon Saturday evening at Tippin Gym.

"I'm so excited with the way we played," Harrison said. "We passed well and served well. That allowed us to run our offense as we needed to."

Christina Steiner paced the offense with 15 kills, while Amanda Angermeier added 10 kills and Sarah Sheffield nine kills and seven blocks. Nicole Andrusz chipped in with six kills and three blocks. Kristi Fiorillo set up the offense with 37 assists while adding 18 digs, and Vicky Gentile had 24 digs.

The Golden Eagles (1-0) return to action at 7 p.m. Tuesday when they host Davis & Elkins.
