PHILADELPHIA - The Clarion University women's volleyball team swept a pair of matches at Holy Family in Philadelphia Saturday beating Bloomfield and Holy Family in identical 3-0 scores.
In the Bloomfield match Clarion won by scores of 30-15, 30-24, 30-18.
Christina Steiner had 13 kills and nine digs, Sarah Fries nine kills and 10 digs, Vicky Gentile 10 digs and Amanda Angermeier seven kills.
The Golden Eagles then turned around and beat Holy Family by scores of 30-19, 30-23, 30-19.
Steiner paced the Golden Eagles with 21 kills and 11 digs, Fries had 15 kills, Gentile 23 digs and Kristi Fiorillo 45 set assists and 10 digs.
Clarion (14-1) returns to action Tuesday when it hosts IUP in a PSAC-West match starting at 7 p.m.
