CLARION - The Clarion University women's volleyball team swept past IUP 3-0 in PSAC-West play Tuesday night at Tippin Gym.
The Golden Eagles (15-1 overall, 3-1 PSAC-West play) cruised through the first two games winning 30-18, 30-16 before coming from behind to take a nip-and-tuck third game 30-28.
Christina Steiner led Clarion with 16 kills and nine digs, while Kristi Fiorillo had 38 set assists and 14 digs. Amanda Angermeier chipped in with 10 kills, while Sarah Fries had seven kills and six digs and Vicky Gentile 14 digs.
The Golden Eagles return to action this weekend when they travel to West Chester for PSAC Crossover action.
