EDINBORO - Despite getting five kills, three blocks, 22 assists and 12 digs from Amanda Gough, the Clarion University women's volleyball team lost 3-1 to Shippensburg in a PSAC Crossover match Friday afternoon at Edinboro.
The Golden Eagles (10-9) dropped the first two sets 25-14, 25-21 before rallying to win the third set 26-24. But Shippensburg closed out the match with a 25-21 win in the fourth set.
Rhianon Brady added 22 digs for Clarion with Nicole Andrusz chipping in with seven kills and three blocks. Leeann Higginbotham also had seven kills, while Kaelyn Marcus and Danielle Brunot each had six kills.
The Golden Eagles return to action Saturday when it plays both Cheyney and Lock Haven in PSAC Crossover matches at Edinboro.
