(Greensburg, Pa.): Clarion traveled to Seton Hill on Friday and defeated the Griffins by a final score of 9-0 at the Greensburg Racket Club.

Clarion raised its Spring record to 1-4 and overall is now 5-6 including the Fall season.

The Golden Eagles swept the singles play starting at #1 with Corin Rombach (Sr. Prattsburgh, N.Y.) defeating Christy Bungo by a 6-3, 6-2 score, and #2 Lisa Baumgartner (Sr. West Middlesex) dropping Allie Hickman 6-0, 6-1.

Clarion's Brittany Bovalino (So. Alquippa - Hopewell) posted a 6-0, 6-2 win over Daniela Pagan at #3 singles, while Devin Rombach (Fr. Prattsburgh, N.Y.) downed Bethany Merryman 6-4, 6-1 at #4 singles.

The singles shutout was completed when Kassie Leuschel (Jr. St. Marys - Elk C.C.) shut out Noelle Harrold 6-0, 6-0 at #5 singles, them Greta Shepardson (Fr. McMurray - Peters Twp.) defeated Tiffany Gilbert 6-1, 6-3 at #6 singles.

In doubles play the sister tandem of Corin and Devin Rombach won an 8-6 match against Bungo and Hickman at #1, while Baumgartner and Leuschel dropped Merryman and Pagan 8-0 at #2 doubles and Bovalino and Shepardson and defeated Harrold and Gilbert 8-0 at #3.

The Golden Eagles will open PSAC-West play on April 4 against IUP. Play at the Campbell Courts is set to begin at 3:30pm.
