CLARION - The Clarion University softball team was swept in a PSAC-West doubleheader by Slippery Rock Friday afternoon at Clarion.
The Rock won Game One 5-4 and Game Two 6-1.
In Game One, Valorie Rankin took the loss going seven innings and allowing five runs, four earned, on 10 hits and four walks.
Lauren Martino led the offense going 3-for-3 with a double and two runs scored. Carlie Cook was 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Nicole Lollo and Marrisa Myers each added RBIs.
In Game two, Caitlin Lamison took the loss going seven innings and allowing six runs, only two of which were earned, on nine hits and two walks. She struck out nine.
Lamison led the offense going 2-for-3 with an RBI. Cook scored Clarion's lone run.
The losses dropped Clarion to 4-29 overall and 0-18 in the PSAC-West. The Golden Eagles conclude their season Saturday at Edinboro.
