Final Stats

(Philippi, W.V.): Clarion's Jill Miller scored 2 goals and Alyssa Jacobs and Caitlyn Borden had a goal and an assist in leading the Golden Eagles to 7-0 win over Alderson-Broaddus in Women's Soccer on Sunday.

Clarion raised its record to 1-1.

Miller got the ball rolling early in the first half when she converted a cross-header at 2:37. Borden assisted on the goal.

In the second half the flood gates opened. Jacobs scored an unassisted goal at 46:42, then Lisa Crist got her first goal of the year at 50:35, with an assist from Hillary Dieter and Clarion led 3-0.

Borden came back and scored unassisted at 57:08, and Miller picked up her second goal on an assist from Jacobs after a corner kick.

Beth Ellen Dibeler gave Clarion a 6-0 lead when she scored at 80:13 (assist Tiffany Mason), and he final goal was scored by Jordan Daloisio at 82:25.

Clarion posted 40 shots during the game to A-B's 4. Clarion goalie Jenna Kulik recorded her first shutout and made 4 saves.

Clarion will host Slippery Rock on Wednesday night at 7pm at Memorial Stadium.
