CLARION 3 KUTZTOWN 6

The Clarion women's tennis team fell to Kutztown on Saturday with a score of 6-3. The match was held at Clarion.

In singles play, wins came from Megan Parsons at #5 who defeated Chelsea White with a score of 6-0, 6-2, and from #6 Haylee Gardner who defeated Chelsea White with a score of 6-4, 6-0.

The doubles team of Haylee Gardner and Megan Parsons came out with a win against Shir Suez and Chelsea White with a score of 8-3.

A tough match and good effort was played by #3 singles player Sharayah Campbell, who fell to Kutztown's Sabrina Arnaud with a score of 6-2, 6-4.

Coach Lori Sabatose said that strong efforts came from Sharayah Campbell, Megan Parsons and Haylee Gardner.

The Golden Eagles overall record is now 2-1. The Eagles will return to action Tuesday Sept. 23 against West Liberty State.
