CLARION - Katrina Greer scored 21 points and tied a career high with 12 rebounds to lead the Clarion women's basketball team to a 62-48 win over visiting Urbana in non-conference action Monday night at Clarion's Tippin Gym.

Lizzie Suwala's 10 points and 11 rebounds gave Clarion (7-10) two players with double-doubles, and Sara Pratt added 10 rebounds helping the Golden Eagles outrebound Urbana (10-10) 54-37.

Clarion led 35-20 at halftime and built the lead to 26, 50-24, with 12:08 left thanks to a 15-4 run to start the second half. But Urbana answered with a 17-0 run to get within nine, 50-41, with 6:25 to play. The Golden Eagles, though, answered back with an 11-5 run to put the game away.

Jalyssa Jackson was the lone player in double figures for Urbana with 13 points while adding seven rebounds.

Bethany Koch added 11 points and nine boards for Clarion, which returns to action Wednesday at Mercyhurst. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
