CLARION-- Kellie Bartman registered seven kills and 10 digs but it wasn't enough as Clarion (16-4, 6-1 PSAC) dropped its first conference match of the year to visiting California Friday night at Tippin Gymnasium.

Kaitlyn Anderson had six kills while Amanda Gough added five kills to go with her 20 set assists and 10 digs as the Golden Eagles dropped straight sets 18-25, 17,25 and 18-25.

Nicole Andrusz chipped in four kills and Rhianon Brady added 13 digs.

The Golden Eagles return to action Saturday hosting IUP.
