CLARION - Kellie Bartman had 22 kills, five digs and three blocks to lift Clarion to a 3-1 win over visiting IUP in PSAC women's volleyball action Saturday evening at Clarion's Tippin Gym.
Clarion (17-4, 7-1 PSAC) rebounded from its first conference loss of the season to California Friday night by jumping quickly on top of IUP 2-0 thanks to wins of 25-14 and 25-18. The Crimson Hawks (11-10, 4-4) rallied to take the third set 25-23 before Clarion put the match away in the fourth set 25-18.
Rebecca Webb and Nicole Andrusz each added 11 kills for Clarion with Webb coming away with five blocks and Andrusz six blocks and five digs. Amanda Gough ran the offense with 50 set assists while adding four kills, 19 digs and two blocks. Rhianon Brady was a defensive stalwart with 32 digs, and Joy Carey added 11 digs.
Clarion returns to action Friday when it travels to West Chester for a pair of PSAC matches. The Golden Eagles face West Chester at Noon and Cheyney at 5 p.m.
