(GREENSBURG, PA.): The Clarion women's tennis team shut out Seton Hill with a final score of 9-0 in the final regular season match of the 2009 Fall season.

In singles play Clarion got wins at #1 singles from Jaclyn Metzger who defeated Julia Madigan (SH), 6-1, 6-1; #2 singles with Haylee Gardner defeating Noelle Harrold (SH) 6-0, 6-2; #3 Sharayah Campbell defeating Bethany Merryman (SH) 6-3, 6-0; #4 Devin Rombach defeating Maria Mastromatteo (SH) 6-3, 6-0; #5 Megan Parsons defeating Tiffany Gilbert (SH) 6-3, 6-0, and #6 Lauren Eonta defeating Leara Glinzak (SH) 6-3, 6-2.

Clarion also swept the doubles action. At #1 Metzger and Gardner defeated Madigan/Merryman (SH) 8-0, #2 Parsons and Alysia Sturdivant defeated Harrold/Gilbert (SH) 8-1, and at #3 Michaela Hardy and Andiswa Gibson defeated Mastromatteo/Glinzak (SH) 8-0. The win gives Clarion a 2-2 season record. Jaclyn Metzger and Haylee Gardner will be playing in the PSAC championships this coming weekend, Oct. 11 and 12.
