WEST CHESTER - Kellie Bartman and Danielle Brunot combined for 22 kills to lead the Clarion University women's volleyball team to a 3-0 (25-11, 26-24, 25-21) win at West Chester in PSAC Crossover volleyball action Friday afternoon.
Bartman had 12 kills while adding seven digs, and Brunot chipped in with 10 kills and three digs to help the Golden Eagles improve to 18-4 overall and 8-1 in the PSAC. Clarion is in second place in the Western Division.
Rebecca Webb contributed eight kills and three blocks, Nicole Andrusz had eight kills and Leeann Higginbotham four kills for Clarion. Amanda Gough set up the offense with 39 assists and added six digs, and Rhianon Brady led the defense with 19 digs.
The loss dropped West Chester to 10-7 overall and 2-6 in the PSAC. The Rams are in fourth place in the Eastern Division.
Clarion returns to action at 5 p.m. Friday when it faces Cheyney at West Chester. The Golden Eagles then travel to Kutztown for a 1 p.m. match Saturday.
