(CLEVELAND, OHIO): Clarion won 7 of 10 matches on Saturday afternoon as the Golden Eagles defeated Cleveland State 30-10 in NCAA Division I Wrestling.

Held at Woodling Gym, Clarion raised its record to 8-12 overall and 1-4 in the EWL, and Cleveland State dropped to 4-12 overall and 0-5 in the EWL.

Clarion got off to a fast started when Clint Podish posted a 9-0 major decision JT Miller at 184, and Jamie Luckett accepted a forfeit at 197 to give Clarion a 10-0 lead.

Although CSU's #20 Rashard Goff won a 12-3 major over Roman Husam, the Eagles bounced back with a Jay Ivanco forfeit win at 125 and wins from Cameron Moran at 133 and Sal Lascari at 141.

Moran trailed 2-0 late in the second when he reversed Josh Palivoda to tie the match 2-2. In the third Moran escaped, then notched a takedown to win 5-3.

Lascari had takedowns in the first and third periods on his way to a 6-1 win over Lawrence Cavello at 141 and put Clarion ahead 22-4.

CSU's Antonio Nicholson decisioned Greg Lewis 7-3 at 149, but Clarion's Hadley Harrison came back to post a 5-0 win over Corey Carlo at 157. Harrison had takedowns in the first and second period, and a third period escape to win 5-0.

After Rob Michaels scored an 8-2 decision over Dominic Ross at 165, the Eagles Scott Joseph finished the scoring with a technical fall over Derek Cummins at 174. Joseph had four takedowns and a two-point near fall in the third period to win 21-6 at 6:48.

CLARION NOTES: Ivanco is now 17-10 at 125, Harrison 18-11 at 157 and Luckett 18-10 at 197... Moran also is 7-4 at 133, Joseph 12-12 at 174 and Podish 18-13 at 184... Clarion visits Lock Haven next Saturday in the season finale at 7:30pm.
