(HILTON HEAD, SC.): Clarion received strong efforts from Haylee Gardner, Jaclyn Metzger and Kassie Leuschel, but Bloomsburg was too strong as the Huskies swept Clarion in Women's Tennis play 9-0 on Tuesday.

The loss puts Clarion's overall season record at 6-2, including a 2-1 mark in the Spring and 1-1 on the Spring Trip in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

Gardner won her first set against Kristen Bonito 7-6 (7-5 tie breaker), but lost the next two sets 6-1, 6-1.

Jaclyn Metzger meanwhile lost 6-4, 6-3 to Katie Hasyn at #1 singles, and Kassie Leuschel lost a very close 7-5, 7-5 match against Alison Carney at #2.

Clarion will play East Stroudsburg on Wednesday.
