(HILTON HEAD, SC.): Clarion's #3 doubles team of Haylee Gardner and Megan Parsons provided the winning point on Wednesday leading the Golden Eagles to a 5-4 win over East Stroudsburg in Women's Tennis action.
The win gives Clarion and overall record of 7-2, including a 3-1 mark in the Spring and 2-1 record on the Spring Trip in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
The singles were played first and the team score was 3-3 at their conclusion with Kassie Leuschel, Haylee Gardner and Megan Parsons scoring wins for the Golden Eagles.
In doubles action Clarion's #1 Jaclyn Metzger and Kassie Leuschel defeated Katie D'Ambrosia and Jamie Ferrigno 8-4, while Sharayah Campbell and Devin Rombach lost at #2 doubles 8-4.
The Eagles #3 doubles team of Gardner and Parsons were the last match on the court. They defeated Marissa Tanner and Angela Teri 8-6 to give Clarion its 5-4 win.
Clarion will play UNC-Pembroke on Thursday to finish their Spring Trip.
