(ERIE, PA.): Clarion's doubles tandem of Megan Parsons and Haylee Gardner won at #3 doubles, but 29th ranked Slippery Rock won two doubles and six singles matches to defeat Clarion 8-1 on Tuesday night at the Westwood Racquet Club in Erie.

Parsons and Gardner defeated Lara Rizzi and Casey Runyan of Slippery Rock 8-6 to score Clarion's lone point on Tuesday night.

The Golden Eagles Sharayah Campbell lost 6-3, 6-2 at #3 singles to Jessica Hillborn and Parsons lost 6-0, 6-4 at #6 singles to Casey Runyan in the closest singles matches.

Clarion drops to 8-6 on the season and 1-3 in PSAC-West play, while Slippery Rock raised its record to 17-3 overall and 3-1 in PSAC-West action.

Clarion travels to Allegheny on Thursday.
