ERIE - The Clarion University women's volleyball team split a pair of matches at Mercyhurst Saturday afternoon beating Alderson-Broaddus 3-0 and losing to Wheeling Jesuit 3-1.

The Golden Eagles topped Alderson-Broaddus by scores of 25-22, 26-24 and 25-12 with Danielle Brunot and Kellie Bartman leading the offense with 10 and eight kills respectively.

Clarion (8-2) also got seven kills apiece from Kaitlyn Anderson and Rebecca Webb with Anderson adding five digs and Webb three blocks, while Amanda Gough had 27 assists and seven digs. Rhianon Brady paced the defense with 23 digs.

Wheeling Jesuit topped by scores of 15-25, 21-25, 25-22, 18-25. Bartman had 13 kills, six digs and two service aces, while Brunot added 12 kills and Andrusz seven kills and 13 digs. Gough had 38 set assists and nine digs with Brady adding 19 digs.

Clarion returns to action Tuesday at Lake Erie.
