INDIANA- Clarion(3-1) jumped out to an early lead only to see it erased in a 3-1 loss to IUP Wednesday afternoon in the PSAC-West opener for both teams.

Gina Shero opened the scoring with an unassisted tally, her first of the year, at 7:27 giving the Golden Eagles an early 1-0 lead. Sarah Romasco evened the score before half with a goal on a pass by Paige Virgara at 21:15.

Sharee McCarty scored the game winner at 74:16. Sarah Romasco set the final at 3-1 with her second goal at 89:27 on a pass from Kyra Hricik .

Jenna Kulik took the loss in net making five saves.

The Golden Eagles are back in action Saturday at 6 p.m. when they travel to Edinboro.

NOTES- Jill Miller still sits in second place in career goals with 12, two behind career leader Ashlie Regazzi.
