EAGLES FALL TO WHEELING JESUIT

WHEELING, W. Va. - Despite another solid performance by PSAC-West Player of the Week Amanda Gough, the Clarion University women's volleyball team fell on the road in non-conference action 3-1 to Wheeling Jesuit Tuesday night.

Gough, who earlier in the day earned the weekly PSAC-West award, had 37 set assists, seven kills and 22 digs, but Clarion lost the final three sets 23-25, 22-25, 20-25 after taking a 1-0 lead with a 26-24 win in the first set.

Rhianon Brady added 25 digs and Joy Carey 16 for Clarion (16-3), which lost to Wheeling Jesuit for the second time this season.

Nicole Andrusz paced the Golden Eagle offense with 13 kills and added four blocks, Danielle Brunot chipped in with eight kills and two blocks, Kellie Bartman had eight kills and Kaitlyn Anderson had seven kills.

Clarion, which is 6-0 in PSAC play, returns to PSAC action Friday when it hosts California at 7 p.m.
