EAST STROUDSBURG - Unbeaten East Stroudsburg outscored Clarion 24-9 in the final 10-plus minutes to get a 75-65 win over the visiting Golden Eagles Saturday afternoon at Koehler Fieldhouse.

Clarion (7-3) led by five, 56-51, following two Shameel Carty free throws with 10:37 left but made just two baskets in the final 10 minutes allowing East Stroudsburg (10-0) to rally for the victory.

Jamar Harrison led Clarion with 19 points, tying East Stroudsburg's Andy Heimbach for game-high honors. Jamar Harrison also added four rebounds and three steals while shooting 7 of 10 from the floor. Three other Golden Eagles also reached double figures with Paul McQueen throwing in 12 points to go with eight rebounds, Carty had 11 points and nine boards and Lloyd Harrison had 10 tallies with five rebounds and three assists.

Duane Johnson was the only other East Stroudsburg player in double digits with 11 points.

Clarion led by as many as eight, 23-15, in the first half before East Stroudsburg rallied to take a 41-37 halftime lead. But the Golden Eagles quickly regained the lead in the second half when they started the half on an 8-0 run before East Stroudsburg once again rallied to go back in front.

The Golden Eagles return to action at 3 p.m. Sunday when they face nationally ranked and unbeaten Kutztown (8-0) on the road. The Golden Bears are ranked seventh in the NABC poll.
