CLARION SPIKERS MOVE TO 23-3

Led by Kellie Bartman, the Golden Eagles defeated visiting Seton Hill 3-0 Wednesday night in Tippin Gymnasium. Bartman had 15 kills, four digs and two aces.

Led by Kellie Bartman, the Golden Eagles defeated visiting Seton Hill 3-0 Wednesday night in Tippin Gymnasium.  Bartman had 15 kills, four digs and two aces. 

Kaitlyn Anderson had 10 kills, three digs and an ace.  The defense was led once again by Rhianon Brady who managed 10 digs and four service aces.  Amanda Gough had the most assists with 21 with Rebecca Beightol adding 15 assists. 

Clarion returns to action Friday night against Mercyhurst at 7 p.m. in Tippin Gymnasium.  Friday is also the night that the volleyball team is attempting to set the record for the most fans in attendance.  We need 1,800 fans to break the record.  Students are encouraged to wear their Halloween costume with the top two costumes earning a $150 gift card to the university book store. 

NOTES - The Golden Eagles are currently tied with Edinboro for first place in the PSAC-West.  Both teams have identical 14-1 conference records with Edinboro holding the tiebreaker thanks to a 3-1 win over Clarion at Edinboro Oct. 1.  The teams meet again at 2 p.m. Saturday in Tippin Gymnasium.  Clarion has never won the PSAC-West title…Clarion moves to a perfect 14-0 all-time against Seton Hill.
