CLARION - The Clarion University women's volleyball team moved to within one win of its first-ever PSAC-West crown with a 3-0 win over PSAC-West co-leader Edinboro Saturday afternoon at Tippin Gym.

The Golden Eagles, who came into the match in a first-place tie with the Fighting Scots won by scores of 25-23, 25-17, 25-18 and now need to win one of their final two matches - Tuesday at Slippery Rock and Friday at Gannon - to clinch the West crown. Clarion is 25-3 overall, 16-1 in the PSAC-West while Edinboro falls to 25-4, 15-2.

The victory Saturday avenges Clarion's lone PSAC-West loss of the season 3-1 to Edinboro at the start of the month in Edinboro.

On Saturday, the Clarion offense was paced by the duo of juniors Kaitlyn Anderson and Kellie Bartman.  Anderson finished with 11 kills, seven digs, and one block.  Bartman had 13 kills, nine digs, and four blocks for the Golden Eagles. 

Amanda Gough tallied 29 assists, six digs, and one kill for Clarion while Rebecca Webb added six kills, two digs, and two blocks.  Rhianon Brady was the defensive leader for Clarion as she notched 31 digs and two aces.
