Morgan Oberlander (So. York/Dallastown) won three events and
Kaitlyn Johnson (Sr. Uniontown) and Kayla Shull (So. Franklin/Rocky Grove) were double winners in individual events leading the Golden Eagle Women's Swimming team to a 161.5 -100.5 dual meet win at Shippensburg on Saturday.
Oberlander had a strong day winning the 200 free (1:59.05), the 200 butterfly (2:09.98) and the 400 I.M. (4:41.24).
Johnson won the 100 yard butterfly (57.94) and 50 freestyle (24.08), while Shull won the 100 backstroke (1:00.52) and the 100 freestyle (54.48).
Also posting winning performances were
Kelly Connolly (Sr. Cranberry Twp./Seneca Valley), Madison Sewell (So. Walled Lake, Mi.) and Courtney Bogue (Jr. Glastonbury, Ct.).
Connolly won the 100 breaststroke (1:08.02), Sewell took the 200 breaststroke (2:32.78) and Bogue the 200 backstroke (2:12.87).
Clarion also won two relays – including the 200 medley and 200 free relays (
Kayla Shull, Connolly, Johnson, Mattucci).
The win raises Clarion's dual meet record to 3-0 on the year. The Golden Eagles, under 11th year head coach Mark Van Dyke, hosts Bloomsburg next Saturday.
