CLARION FALLS TO IUP IN PSAC-CENTRAL TWINBILL

INDIANA - Clarion was swept in its PSAC-Central opener by IUP Wednesday losing a pair of games in five innings.

In Game One, the Golden Eagles fell 8-0 and in Game Two they lost 11-2.

In the first game, Megan Daley took the loss going four innings and allowing eight runs on nine hits and three walks while striking out one. Clarion was no hit in the game.

Game Two saw Erica Burkey take the loss going five innings and allowing 11 runs on nine hits and three walks while striking out one.

Nicole Lindner led the Golden Eagle offense going 2-for-3, while Kecia Willison, Marissa Myers and Falicia Witmer each had one. Willison and Witmer had RBIs with Randi Pace and Corinna Sternthal each scoring runs.

The losses dropped Clarion to 2-11 overall, 0-2 PSAC-Central on the season. The Golden Eagles return to play Saturday at California.
