VOLLEYBALL WINS TWO MORE SATURDAY

INDIANA – The Clarion University women's volleyball team won its sixth and seventh straight matches by taking two more matches at the WVIAC-PSAC crossover at IUP Saturday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles (7-1) beat West Virginia State 3-0 (25-17, 25-13, 25-17) in the morning then came back to topple Davis & Elkins 3-0 (25-19, 25-21, 25-17) in the afternoon.
The win over West Virginia State was a team effort with 12 different Clarion players recording kills led by four each from Nicole Andrusz, Amanda Gough, Kellie Bartman, Aubree Fry and Hannah Heeter. Gough added 23 set assists with Rhianon Brady pacing the defense with 11 digs. Gough also had seven digs and five blocks with Rebecca Webb adding three kills and four blocks.
Against Davis & Elkins, Bartman led the offense with 10 kills and added six digs and four blocks. Webb added nine kills and six blocks. Freshman Corinne Manley hit .462 and finished with nine kills. Breanna Kochinsky had six kills and 10 digs. Gough had 34 assists, four kills and four digs, and Brady had 19 digs.
Clarion returns to action Friday against Millersville and Lock Haven at Lock Haven.
