WEBB LEADS CLARION PAST MILLERSVILLE

LOCK HAVEN – The Clarion University volleyball team kicked off its conference slate with a 3-0 win over Millersville Friday afternoon at Lock Haven.
The Golden Eagles won by scores of 25-12, 25-16 and 26-14 with sophomore middle hitter Rebecca Webb leading the way with 10 kills and a .500 hitting percentage. She added four blocks and two aces.
Kellie Bartman also had a nice match for Clarion with nine kills and six digs, while Amanda Gough added 26 assists, six digs and three blocks. Hannah Heeter chipped in with five kills and Emily Stewart four.
The match was one of two on the day for the Golden Eagles (8-1 overall, 1-0 PSAC Western Division), who are scheduled to face Lock Haven at 7:30 p.m.
