EAST STROUDSBURG – The Clarion University women's volleyball team ran its win streak to 11 straight with a pair of victories at a PSAC Crossover day at East Stroudsburg Saturday.
The Golden Eagles (11-1 overall, 4-0 PSAC Western Division) beat Shippensburg 3-0 (25-18, 25-23, 25-18) and East Stroudsburg 3-0 (25-12, 25-20, 25-16).
Against Shippensburg,
Kaitlyn Anderson led the way with nine kills, six digs and two service aces, while
Rebecca Webb had eight kills, three blocks and three aces.
Kellie Bartman chipped in with seven kills, seven digs and a pair of aces and freshmen
Corinne Manley and
Hannah Heeter combined for eight kills and three blocks with Manley getting six kills and a block and Heeter two kills and two blocks.
Amanda Gough set up the offense with 23 set assists and also added four kills and 10 digs, and
Rhianon Brady also had 10 digs.
In the win over East Stroudsburg, Webb added nine kills and two blocks, Manley eight kills and two blocks and Bartman seven kills and seven digs. Also contributing were Anderson with six kills, six digs, two blocks and Heeter four kills and a block. Gough had 25 set assists, two kills, seven digs and a block, Brady had 13 digs and
Kayla Rodak 10 digs.
Clarion returns to action at 7 p.m. Friday when it hosts California in the home opener for the Golden Eagles. Clarion then hosts IUP at 4 p.m. Saturday.
