CLARION GETS BIG WIN OVER CAL

Behind 14 kills, 19 digs and five blocks from Kellie Bartman, Clarion was able to defeat the three-time defending PSAC champion California (Pa.) for the first time since 2006 by a score of 3-1 Friday evening.

CLARION– Behind 14 kills, 19 digs and five blocks from Kellie Bartman, Clarion was able to defeat the three-time defending PSAC champion California (Pa.) for the first time since 2006 by a score of 3-1 Friday evening.

Clarion won the first set 25-20 before dropping the second set 22-25. The Golden Eagles rebounded to win the third set by a score of 27-25 and took the fourth set 25-21. 

Amanda Gough chipped in with 51 assists and eight digs.  Corinne Manley added 17 kills and two blocks in the win. Rhianon Brady paced the defense with 31 digs.

Clarion (12-1 overall, 5-0 PSAC Western Division) has won 12 in a row for the first time since the 2007 campaign.  The Golden Eagles are now 5-0 in the PSAC Western Division for the second straight year.
