CLARION – Clarion defeated IUP 3-1 on Saturday afternoon to extend its win streak to 13 games. The Golden Eagles were led by Amanda Gough who had 46 assists, 17 digs and two kills.
Clarion took the first set 25-21 before losing the second set 17-25. Clarion bounced back with a 25-18 win in set number three and put the game away by a score of 25-21 in the fourth set.
Kellie Bartman had another strong outing for Clarion with 17 kills and six digs. Rhianon Brady led the defense with 41 digs and three assists. Corinne Manley pitched in 12 kills and Kaitlyn Anderson added 11 kills in the win.
Clarion (13-1, 6-0 PSAC Western Division) has won 13 straight since losing its first game of the season. Clarion's next game is October 1st as they travel to Edinboro to take on the Fighting Scots.
