CLARION - Senior
Kellie Bartman complied 13 kills, 11 digs, and 3 blocks to lead Clarion to a convincing 3-0 victory over Gannon Friday night in Tippin Gymnasium. Bartman led the team statistically, but she wasn't alone as Clarion played it's best all-around game of the season.

Amanda Gough continued her hot hand as she amassed 34 assists, seven digs, six kills, and two blocks. Senior
Kaitlyn Anderson also notched a tremendous performance finishing with 10 kills, three digs, two aces, and one block. Many of Anderson's kills came at crucial moments in the third set where momentum was about to swing to Gannon's side.
Rhianon Brady once again led the defense with 15 digs and is now 66 behind Vicky Gentile for the school record.
Clarion came from behind in the first set to notch a close 25-23 victory. The second set was a back and forth battle with several lead changes that Clarion eventually won 25-23. The third and final set was controlled continually by Clarion as they took a 25-20 win.
Gannon (17-7, 12-2) is the current PSAC West leader and projected to be ranked #1 or #2 in the Atlantic Region when the initial rankings are released Tuesday, said Clarion head coach
Jennifer Mills. Clarion (14-10, 10-4) bounced back after a 3-0 loss at Wheeling Jesuit Tuesday night. They have won 6 of their last 7 games including two key wins over then-PSAC West leaders California (Pa.) and Gannon.
As of Friday night, Clarion is in fourth place in the PSAC West, one game behind Edinboro, and two behind Cal and Gannon. The Golden Eagles return to action Saturday, Oct. 22 at 1 p.m. to battle visiting Mercyhurst.
