            (Pittsburgh, Pa.): Clarion's Kayla Shull (Jr. Franklin/Rocky Grove), Morgan Oberlander (Jr. York) and Kristin Day (Fr. Reynoldsville/DuBois) were double winners on Saturday afternoon as the Golden Eagle Women's Swimming and Diving team defeated Carnegie Mellon 182-116.
 
            Clarion raised its 2011-12 season record to 3-0.
 
            Shull won the 100 backstroke (58.06) and the 100 freestyle (53.18), while Oberlander won the 200 butterfly (2:09.39) and the 500 freestyle (5:15.66). Day meanwhile won both the 1 and 3 meter diving competition. She scored 219.75 in the 1 meter and 226.35 in the 3 meter.
 
            Also posting winning performances were Emilee Gysegem (Fr. Warren, Oh/Lakeview),
Rachel Tano (Jr. Butler/Knoch), Anna McNurlan (Fr. Washington/McMurray), Megan Burrows (Sr. Canton, Oh.) and Madi Sewell (Jr. Walled Lake, Mi.).
 
            Gysegem won the 200 IM with a time of 2:10.65, with McNurlan taking first in the 50 free (25.14), Burrows the 100 breaststroke (1:07.5) and Sewell the 200 breaststroke (2:27.97).
 
            Clarion won both relays including the 200 medley and the 200 free relay. The 200 medley team included Shull, Rachel Tano (Jr. Butler/Knoch), Kelsey Slayton (Fr. White Lake, Mi.), and McNurlan with a time of 1:51.25. The winning 200 free relay had Shull, Oberlander, Tyler Ness (Fr. Reading) and McNurlan in a time of 1:40.18.
 
            The Golden Eagles, under the direction of 12th year head coach Mark VanDyke, will be back in action at on November 12 at Bloomsburg.
