DAY 3 RESULTS
(Mechanicsburg, Pa.): Clarion University's
Ben Appleby won the 200 free and the 200 medley relay team took top honors as the Golden Eagle Men's Swimming team solidified second place as a team after the day 3 of the 53
rd PSAC Championships.
Held at Cumberland Valley High School, West Chester is in first place with 463 points with Clarion second at 396.5, Shippensburg third with 311.5 and Edinboro fourth with 292. Seven teams are participating.
Appleby led the Golden Eagle men by winning the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:40.82.
In other individual results the Golden Eagles were strong in the 100 breaststroke with
Mark Krchnak finishing second (57.11),
Derek Nelson third (57.52), Mike Proudfit seventh (59.15) and Matt Bojalad ninth (58.99).
Jon Kofmehl also placed fifth in the 100 backstroke (51.95),
Joseph Ward was eighth in the 100 back (52.93), Joseph Welch was fifth in the 100 fly (51.19) and
Jake Campbell was eighth in the 400 IM (4:15.66).
The 53rd Men's Championship will finish on Sunday.
