CLARION - Clarion's 
Megan Daley pitched a complete game and 
Nicole Lindner's key two rbi double helped lead the Golden Eagles to a 4-2 win in game one and earn a split on Sunday afternoon in a PSAC-Central softball doubleheader at Memorial Field. Mansfield won the second game 3-0.
Clarion is now 6-12 overall and 1-7 in the PSAC-Central, while Mansfield is 9-14 overall and 2-8 in Central Division play.
 
In game one Clarion took a 2-0 lead in the second when 
Nicole Lindner doubled to left field and scored 
Nicole Lollo and 
Rebecca Lynch who were on with singles.
Clarion made it 4-0 in the third when 
Katie Baun had an rbi single and then came home on a double by Lollo. Lollo and Baun both went 2 for 3 with one RBI. 
 
Megan Daley pitched the complete game giving up only two runs on eight hits, walking three and striking out one.
 
In game two, Mansfield jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first inning. The offense threatened in three different innings by having runners in scoring position, but could not get the clutch hit that was needed.
The Golden Eagles only managed to bang out three hits in game two.
Erica Burkey pitched a complete game in game two yielding three runs, with only one earned while scattering seven hits. She walked two and struck out three.
 
Clarion is back on the field Monday afternoon, playing host to Lock Haven at 2:30pm at Memorial Field.
