FINAL RESULTS
(Clarion, Pa.): Clarion's
Kayla Shull (Sr. Franklin/Rocky Grove) was a triple individual event winner , while
Emilee Gysegem (So. Warren, Oh./Lakeview), Mallory Moore (Fr. W. Bloomsmfield, Mi.) and Gabriella Schaffer (Fr. Reading/Muhlenberg) were double winners as the Golden Eagles defeated Grove City 202-140 at the W.S. Tippin Natatorium on Saturday in women's swimming. The event was Clarion's 2012-13 season opener.
Shull won the 50 free (24.78), 100 free (53.96) and the 200 free (1:59.83) races, while Gysegem won the 100 breaststroke (1:08.92) and the 200 I.M. (2:12.83). Moore meanwhile captured the 500 free (5:22.10) and the 1650 (18:30.30), with Schaffer taking the 100 (59.55) and the 200 (2:13.74) backstroke races.
Also wining individual events were
Rachel Tano (Sr. Butler/Knoch) and Morgan Oberlander (S. York/Dallastown). Tano won the 200 breaststroke (2:32.79) and Oberlander the 200 butterfly (2:13.49).
The 200 medley relay team of
Schaffer, Gysegem, Kelsey Slayton (So. White Lake, Mi.) and Emily Ondrizek (Fr. Gettysburg) won the event with a time of 1:49.85.
Clarion will visit Carnegie Mellon on November 3 for its next action.
