Box Score BIG RAPIDS, Mich. – Behind 11 kills, five blocks and three digs from
Hannah Heeter, the Clarion University women's volleyball team started the 2012 season with a 3-0 win over Alderson-Broaddus at the Ferris State Invitational Friday morning.
The Golden Eagles (1-0) won in easy fashion by scores of 25-13, 25-15 and 25-17.
Clarion hit .273 (36 kills, 12 errors, 88 attempts) in the match led by Heeter's .500 hitting percentage.
Rebecca Webb added a .438 hitting mark and recorded eight kills, three blocks and three digs, while
Emily Stewart had six kills and seven digs.
Sophomore setter
Laura Subject added 27 set assists and 10 digs, while
Corinne Manley had five kills and two blocks and
Rebecca Ferragonio chipped in five digs.
Clarion faces West Virginia State Friday afternoon in its second match of the invitational.
