Box Score BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Charles Haigler hit two free throws with 11 seconds to play to lift Bloomsburg to a 66-64 win over visiting Clarion in PSAC Crossover play Saturday night.

Clarion (4-9 overall, 2-7 PSAC West) had a chance to tie the game with three seconds to play, but Aaron Johnson missed a layup, and Bloomsburg got the rebound and was fouled. The Huskies (4-9, 2-7 PSAC East) missed both free throws, but Clarion was on the wrong end of the floor with under a second left.

The Golden Eagles led 32-30 at halftime and expanded that lead to seven, 40-33, early in the second half. But Bloomsburg came back, and the lead ended up changing hands 11 times with nine ties in the half.

Clarion got up 59-57 when Calvin Edwards hit a three with 3:23 to play before four straight Bloomsburg points made it 61-59 Huskies (4-9, 2-8 PSAC East) with three minutes to play. Marques Jones tied the game for the Golden Eagles with a basket at the 1:28 mark before an old-school three by Lorenzo Christmas gave Bloomsburg a 64-61 lead with 1:09 to play.

But Edwards had the answer in the way of a triple, his fourth of the game, with 40 seconds to play to make it 64-all. Haigler, however, was fouled by Johnson with 11 seconds to play and calmly hit both charity shots to make it 66-64.
