HEETER RECORDS 20TH CAREER DOUBLE-DOUBLE BUT CLARION FALLS AT BLOOMSBURG

Hannah Heeter had 14 points, 10 rebounds

Box Score BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Hannah Heeter recorded her second straight double-double and her third in four games but it wasn't enough as the Clarion University women's basketball team dropped a 79-53 decision at Bloomsburg Saturday night.
 
Heeter had 14 points and 10 rebounds, the 20th double-double of her career (she is the 7th person in school history with at least 20 career double-doubles) while adding two steals and an assist.
 
Tania Holmes added 11 points, three rebounds, three steals and three assists for the Golden Eagles (7-8 overall, 3-6 PSAC West), who trailed 41-25 at halftime. Lauren Savulchak contributed nine points, three rebounds and two steals, and Raven Jones had seven points, two rebounds, three assists and a block.  
 
Dana Wieller paced Bloomsburg (10-3, 6-3 PSAC East) with 22 points, while Lauren Ellis had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds while adding four assists, a block and a steal. Catherine Noack chipped in12 points and Jocelyn Ford had 11.
 
After taking the 16-point halftime lead, Bloomsburg put the game away by starting the second half on a 25-10 run.
 
Clarion returns to action at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mercyhurst.
