It was more of the same in the second half, as the Golden Eagles got the lead to as many as 27, 68-41.
Clarion returns to action at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Mansfield.
NOTES – Clarion's seven wins already match the total of wins from each of the last two seasons when Clarion finished 7-19 both years … The 50 points allowed are a season low for the Golden Eagles and the fewest they have allowed since giving up 48 to Slippery Rock Jan. 12, 2012 … Clarion outrebounded Salem 45-35 and was 22 of 29 from the free-throw line compared to Salem's 10 of 16 … For the second straight game, the contest started with a technical foul on the visitors thanks to an incorrect number in the scorebook. Jones hit two free throws prior to the opening tip. In Saturday's win over Cheyney, the same thing happened and Jones hit one of two free throws to start the game.
