CLARION MEN'S SWIMMERS TOP GROVE CITY 203 – 124
FINAL RESULTS
(Clarion, Pa.): Clarion's
Derek Nelson (Sr. Mount Joy/Donegal) and Scott Harvey (Sr. Macungie/Emmaus) were triple event winners on Saturday leading the Golden Eagle men's swimming team to a 203 – 124 win over Grove City at Tippin Natatorium.
Harvey won the 100 free (50.23), 200 free (1:49.73) and 500 free (5:00.58), while
Nelson took the 200 IM (2:06.05), 100 breaststroke (1:00.27) and 200 breast (2:14.23).
James Robichaud (Jr. Annapolis, Md.) was a double winner taking the 100 butterfly (55.41) and the 400 IM (4:32.37), while
Wade Reichelderfer (Fr. Shipensburg) won the 1650,
Luke Simpson (Charleroi) won the 50 free (22.35) and
Ben Spencer (Tunkhannock) won the 200 backstroke (2:04.32).
The 200 medley relay team of
Jacob Nicolella (Washington), Nelson,
Royce Tipper (Coraopolis) and Robichaud won with a time of 1:40.40.
Clarion will be at Carnegie Mellon on November 2.
