CLARION MEN'S SWIMMERS LOSE TO CARNEGIE MELLON 174-119
FINAL RESULTS
(Pittsburgh, Pa.): Clarion's
Derek Nelson (Sr. Mount Joy/Donegal) was a triple winner and diver
Nick Larmon (Jr. Lemoore) was a double winner on Saturday afternoon but the golden Eagle men's swimming and diving team lost a 174-119 decision at Carnegie Mellon.
The loss gives Clarion a 1-1 dual meet record.
Nelson won three individual events during th dual meet including the 100 yard breaststroke (59.04), the 200 breaststroke (2:10.00) and the 200 I.M. (2:02.48).
Teammate
Nick Larmon won both diving events. He won the 1 meter with 281.25 points and the 3 meter with 273.15 points.
Also posting a winning performance was the 200 free relay with a time of 1:31.77. Swimming on the relay were
Luke Simpson (Fr. Cahrleroi), Jacob Nicolella (So. Washington/Canevin), Jamdes Robichaud (Jr. Annapolis, Md.) and Royce Tipper (Sr. Coraopolis/Cornell).
The Golden Eagles swimmers will next compete at the Zippy Invitational on Dec. 6-8. The divers are at Youngstown State on Nov. 9.
