Box Score CLARION, Pa. – On an unseasonably cold November day in Clarion, the Clarion University women's basketball team was ice cold from the field in a 70 – 45 PSAC West loss to visiting IUP at Tippin Gym Saturday.

The Golden Eagles (2-2 overall, 1-1 PSAC West) shot just 29.8 percent from the field.

Clarion, which came into the game averaging 84.7 ppg in its first three contests, never got on track Saturday shooting 7 of 28 from the field in the first half and trailed 33-20 at halftime. Things never got any better for the Golden Eagles in the second half as IUP scored 11 of the first 15 points and got the lead to as many as 29, 63-45, with just over eight minutes to play.Â

Raven Jones led Clarion with 14 points and five rebounds.Â
Emma Fickel added nine points on 3-for-8 from 3-point range for the Golden Eagles while
Jasmine Boyd and
Jen Straw each had six points with Boyd adding six rebounds.

Lindsay Stamp led IUP (4-0 overall, 2-0 PSAC West) with 21 points, eight rebounds while Ashley Stoner added 11 points and nine rebounds. Amy Fairman had five points and 11 boards, as IUP outrebounded Clarion 59-32 including 23 offensive rebounds leading to 24 second-chance points for the Crimson Hawks. Â

Clarion led 10-9 early before IUP used a 24-5 run to go up by 18, 33-15, with 2:04 left in the first half. The Golden Eagles got back to within 13 at the break on three points by Boyd and two by Johnson, who hit 2 of 3 free throws after getting fouled taking a desperation three at the horn.
