ERIE, Pa. – Corinne Manley had 11 kills to lead Clarion to a 3-0 win over West Virginia State in a Regional crossover at Mercyhurst Friday night.
 
Clarion, which went 2-0 on the day in Erie, is now 9-0 on the season after a 25-11, 25-14, 25-13 victory. It's just the fifth time in school history the Golden Eagles have been 9-0 and the first time since starting 2007 12-0.
 
Manley was spot on Friday night hitting .471 (11 kills, 3 errors, 17 attempts) while adding two blocks. Hannah Heeter added eight kills and four blocks while hitting .500 (8-1-14), and Emily Stewart had nine kills and 11 digs and hit .381 (9-1-21).
 
Laura Subject was once again solid in running the offense with 34 set assists, and she added seven digs, three aces and two kills.
 
Morgan Seybold had 21 digs to pace the defense.
 
Clarion returns to action at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Mercyhurst vs. Notre Dame (Ohio).
