WBB GAME CENTER: EAGLES HOSTS BLOOMSBURG; E. STROUDSBURG TUE & WED

CLARION, Pa. - Finals are over so its now back to the hardwood for the Clarion University women's basketball team.

The Golden Eagles (1-6 overall, 0-3 PSAC West) host a pair of PSAC Crossover games at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.

Bloomsburg (5-1 overall, 3-0 PSAC East) visits Tippin Gym Tuesday, while East Stroudsburg (2-5, 1-3 PSAC East going into Tuesday's game at Gannon) comes to town Wednesday.

Clarion is led by junior guard Tania Holmes and senior forward Hannah Heeter.

Holmes enters the game as the eighth-leading scorer in the PSAC at 16.3 points per game, while Heeter, a 1,000-point career scorer who also has 952 career rebounds is fourth in the conference in rebounding (11.1 rpg) and 12th in scoring (14.7 ppg).

Delrika Jones-Carey chips in 9.1 points and 6.7 rebounds for the Golden Eagles and is coming off a career-best 16-point effort in a loss to California (Pa.) Dec. 6.

Bloomsburg, one of the top defensive teams in the PSAC allowing an average of 59.3 points per game, has three players reaching double figures on defense.

Taylor Maldonado leads the Huskies at 13.0 ppg, while Adreana Sadowski adds 11.7 ppg and a team-best 9.0 rpg. Maria Simmons chips in with 10.0 ppg.

East Stroudsburg is also one of the top defensive teams in the conference just behind Bloomsburg allowing 60.7 ppg. But the Warriors have lost four games by nine points or less on the young season.

Ryann Fiascki leds ESU with 14.3 ppg, while Jessica Martin adds 10.1 ppg and a team-leading 5.9 rebounds per contest.

After Wednesday's game, Clarion hits the road Saturday for a 1 p.m. game at West Chester before being off until New Year's Eve when it travels to Lake Erie.
